Why find music at Northwest Jam Camp this summer?
Because it is:
  • supportive. Jamming is a blast, but can be intimidating. At Jam Camp, being part of a mutually-supportive, friendly community brings out the best music in all of us.
  • spontaneous. You are free to play whenever you want. There are no pre-scheduled classes or activities (other than meals) to interrupt a relaxing, creative week. That freedom leads to spontaneous jam sessions, conversations and moments that might not have occurred otherwise.
  • intimate. Attendance at Northwest Jam Camp is limited. We like to keep it just large enough so you can always find friends to play with, and small enough that you can also find privacy to practice or just work on a tune.
  • diverse. Jam Camp attracts singers, instrumentalists, and songwriters in a diversity of musical styles from bluegrass to jazz, and from swing to blues and rock. The toughest decision you'll have to make is what to play next.
  • rejuvenating. Tired of playing? Go for a swim, take a stroll through the pines. Paddle a canoe across Lake Flora, or just relax by the lodge with a cup of coffee. The coffee pot is always on.
  • welcoming. Everyone is welcome at Northwest Jam Camp, including folks who don't play music. We even have activities and space for musician's children at "Kid Central", with a two-hour activity program in the morning and afternoon parent-run activities.
  • affordable. Jam Camp cost includes good, healthy meals and lodging (and a late-night snack). There are no additional costs beyond the registration fee! A few work/scholarships are available.
